Oh Baby!!!

I love babies! Love them. Their little baby noses and baby yawns. Baby toes and baby soft skin. And they smell so good. Those gummy, toothless baby smiles. It’s enough to get me to daydreaming about hearing the pitter patter of little feet around my own house. But I digress!

This was a unisex shower because the proud parents want the baby’s sex to be a surprise. It’s better than Christmas!!! :)

Here’s to Danielle Lynch, an expecting Haute mom, who allowed me to help her celebrate her arriving bundle of joy! Congrats!

Haute Mom! Haute Birthday

We all love our moms! Where would be be without their unconditional love and support? So when I was asked to make a birthday cake for a very special mom, I was honored to do it! So here’s to a Haute mom, that just loves ladylike things!

This red velvet cake was full of special little details, sugar lace, sugar roses, sugar bows and brooches.

And I have no doubt that it was love at first “bite.” Happy birthday.

Bad Hair Day… Haute Cake!

It’s every Haute girl’s nightmare. To wake up and the hair isn’t doing any at all that you want it to do. Yep, that was me this morning. Hair wouldn’t curl, would barely lay flat, all kinds of issues were going on. So I put my foot down, bun or hat day. I decided on the bun, but as i got to thinking about things there’s this hat that I love and I thought… Wouldn’t it be pretty to use that as inspiration for a Haute Cake? Yes, it would, I said to myself. (Don’t act like you don’t talk to yourself sometimes.) So I did. Check it out!

Love is in the Air

A good romance is almost about as good as a new pair of shoes. And of course once you strap into your stilettos, there should be a fabulous place your feet can carry you. This is just the season for something red and romantic, so I thought of this cake I did for a wedding last year. Since a number of friends are getting married, expanding families, etc. and so on… I’m feeling warm and fuzzy on the inside. So here’s to love… again.
